31 weeks and 1 day pregnant!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians reading this today. Last night, we went over to my grandmother's house for Thanksgiving supper, and Richard got to carve a small pumpkin (with assistance, of course). We all had a fun time, and I accidentally saw the blanket my mother is making for our new wee one! She's always making blankets for all the ladies at her office, so I didn't think anything of it when I saw yet another blanket on the dining room table. Except this blanket was a different design than her usual, there's something slightly funky to it, and I love it. I told her how great I thought it looked and she gasped instead of her usual 'thanks', so I thought something might be up. Whoops. It is a great blanket though!

My mother, sister, Richard and I are going to the Christmas Needlework show on Friday and I'm all excited to find some patterns for Christmas stockings. Lately I've been charting my own patterns, and while I do like doing that, sometimes it's just nice to have everything you need in one place. I'm making decent progress on my Christmas knitting, but I'm dragging my heels on the stocking I'm making for our new wee one, because I can't finish it without adding a name, and I can't really add a name until we know if we've got a brother or a sister. :/

On another note, we're still looking for a Superman costume for Richard for Halloween. Just a month ago he was all about the Incredibles, and now that he's seen a Superman DVD, that's all he talks about. It's amazing how you can't find something like that when you're looking for it. I'm tripping over Spiderman, and I can't find Superman anywhere. Tomorrow will more than likely be spent on the phone calling stores to see who has it before we run around the city looking for it. Also, Chris' parents are coming for a little visit tomorrow, and they're bringing furniture. :)
